Art Education
Lyndsey graduated from Nazareth College in May 2015 with her Masters of Science in Art Education and Initial Certification in the Visual Arts. Currently, she is the High School Art Teacher at Newfield High School.
Newfield High SchoolLyndsey currently works at Newfield High School as the high school Art teacher. She teaches Studio Art, Contemporary Art, Drawing & Painting, Advanced Art, and 6th Grade Art. She also spends time advising the Art club as they plan and participate in events at school. Our largest event is the Arts Festival which showcases all of the artwork that was created during the year in one big art show.
Saturday Art SchoolSaturday Art School was Lyndsey's first opportunity to teach her first Art lessons to a group of children. She found out she was teaching Kindergarten and First Grade in the Spring of 2014. She designed her lessons around the theme of "Art Investigators" where students learned how to analyze Art using steps designed by Edmund Feldman.

Student TeachingDuring the Fall of 2014, Lyndsey student taught at two schools in Rochester, NY. She began the semester in the Rochester City School District at The Kodak Park School where she taught Elementary Art. She ended the semester in the Greece Central School District at Odyssey Academy where she taught High school Art.
Nazareth Neighborhood Arts ProgramThe Nazareth Neighborhood Arts Program offers after school art and music activities for a small group of Nepali refugee children. In collaboration with other art education students, Lyndsey worked with the Sisters of St. Joseph to support the program and advocate for the arts by teaching lessons in the art room.
